Halo

The moon has a halo tonight;
it's fuzzy behind the clouds.

I'm looking at it through november bare branches
that are moving in the breeze.

I'm wearing my winter coat
and two pairs of leggings;
standing on a carpet of leaves
that didn't fall until after the first snow.
